Digitisation is the preservation of images, film or audio, making them available to a wider audience in a digital form.
Media Arts are fully trained and
STS accredited in the care and handling and digitisation of artefacts and we offer a careful and conscientious service to Museums, Libraries and Archives as well as private companies.
We are also one of the few companies in the North East who use a book scanner capable of safely scanning fragile books and volumes.

We have experience of working with the cultural sector on images, audio and video and we specialise in the scanning of glass and fragile books.

Digitisation can present a whole new way of interacting with the past for your audience and it also preserves important images and artefacts for future generations.
Once digitised there is the opportunity to digitally clean or enhance the media, which will enable your viewers to see the images, hear the audio or see the film as it was intended originally.

With more funding available than ever before for digitisation projects there has never been a better time to consider it.
